Profile of a Graduate
We envision our graduates as confident, caring, and capable learners who are prepared for the next stage of their education. Our graduates will be able to:
Academics
Communicate effectively Students express their ideas through speaking, writing, creative arts, and physical expression. They learn to share their thinking clearly and listen thoughtfully to others.
Apply core academic concepts Students build strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. They make connections across subjects and use what they learn in meaningful ways.
Think critically Students solve problems, ask questions, and think deeply both independently and with others. They learn to approach challenges with curiosity and persistence.
Citizenship
Develop strong community ties Students understand their responsibility to others and the environment. They recognize that their actions matter in their school, their neighborhood, and the wider world.
Celebrate diversity Students appreciate the differences that make each person unique. They learn about different cultures, perspectives, and experiences with openness and respect.
Promote inclusion Students create welcoming spaces where everyone belongs. They stand up for others, invite peers to participate, and work to ensure that all voices are heard and valued.
Social-Emotional Learning
Build social-emotional competencies Students develop the five core competencies outlined in the CASEL framework: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. These skills help students understand their emotions, build positive relationships, and make good choices as they grow.
