Katie Lavelle
I have eleven years of teaching experience, all with the Spotswood School District. Throughout the years, I have taught a range of ages and levels including, First Grade, Kindergarten and First Grade Resource Room, Preschool Self Contained and the Integrated Preschool Class. This has given me many different experiences and perspectives that I use each and every day in the classroom with each individual student. In 2006, I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and an area of concentration in Reading. In 2014, I completed the Teachers of Special Education Endorsement Program through Rutgers University. I currently hold certifications in Preschool through Grade 3, Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-5 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 4 year old twins, Blake and Emily and we just added a baby girl, Morgan, to our family. We love going on adventures to the beach, parks and anywhere that gets us out of the house! Among other activities, I love to read.
